He will present a program for us on the various research and water management activities being conducted in our area of the preserve, by the DEP, the University of Florida's Institute for Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) and the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD).NATIONAL AMERICA RECYCLES DAY
The program will be on Tuesday, November 25, 7:30 PM at the North Indian River County Library in Sebastian and all are welcome to attend!
Saturday, November 15 is "America Recycles Day" and the America Recycles Day organization encourages everyone to not only recycle as much as you can, but to also buy more products with recycled content. You can find out more about recycling from their website at: WE ALWAYS NEED YOUR HELP
www.americarecyclesday.org. While you are there, fill out their pledge to do more for recycling and you will be entered in their nationwide prize contest.
For more information about recycling locally, you can contact Indian River County's recycling information at 772-770-5298, or 5113. At our January 2004 general meeting, we will be electing new board members for the coming year. As always, we only get out of this organization what we put into it. Therefore we are always looking for others who and are willing to get involved. The only qualifications to be a board member is to maintain a current membership, and have the time and interest to help out. If you are interested, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, call Tim Glover at 772-589-0636, or contact any other board member.
